In order for our company to operate to the best of its ability we need studio space with various facilities so that we can produce excellent work for our cliental.
We need a space that is suitable for a team of four with a lot of good facilities for a reasonable price.
The aim of this research is to find out what studios are out there who are selling space, what prices they offer, how they charge people and what facilities will be available to us.
FACTORY 4
Factory 4 has a fully equipped workspace that has facilities for screen printing, wood work and jewellery. They have industry standard machinery with trained technicians who supervise the equipment and help out with various tasks.
The studio is operated on a pay as you go basis. The prices for which are:
£20.00 for 5 hours
The studio also allows people to come in and teach and charge £25 per hour with a maximum of 2 people.
They also charge an induction fee of £40 pound which allows access to an area of the studio. If an extra area of the studio is required then an extra £20 induction fee is charged. This also includes the membership fee which lasts for one year.
The studio is situated in the centre of Leeds 10 minutes away from the the bus station.
Although the studio has a lot of space and facilities, it isn't really a place where a team of for could reside and work full time. The kind of establishment that FACTORY 4 is, is a place where you can use facilities to produce final pieces of work that you couldn't necessarily do in a normal studio workspace.
