Alphabet Soup - Deconstruct Self Evaluation

I think that this particular project went quite well. When it came to researching the world DECONSTRUCT I found it quite easy to find things that inspired me and got my brains creative juices flowing. I think that my final 10 letters represented the word wellbecause in the letters you could see the various components coming together to make pieces of the car in front of your eyes. However I think that I could have done more in my sketch book to show other ideas, rather than just focusing on the Haynes car manuals.

The final prints looked good and I think they answered the brief well however if given more time I would have created the car components in Illustrator. This would have made them look more professional and tidy.

Sean Perkins Evaluation of my work

What is being communicate and how? (Refer to final piece only)

Deconstruction. This is being communicated by the use of car components. Spacing has been used between the components to create the illusion of it being deconstructed.

How well does it answer the brief? (why do you think this?)

I think that it answers the brief very well because the components of the car are usually so closely fused together. To see them broken down is simple, but we can clearly see that it is communicating the word deconstruct. So it answers the brief.

How well has it been visually explored? (refer to research and sketchbooks)

The idea has been explored through the use of Haynes car manuals and technical drawings. Also through research obtained on the internet.
