Presentation Evaluation

When it came to the presentation we simply did not give ourselves time to plan how we would carry it out. As a result it was very disjointed and it did not give the impression we had been working as a group very well. Each of us had an individual product that we presented but there were no strong links between them. Next time I will leave enough time to make sure that everything can be completed better.

Self Evaluation

looking back on the project I felt excited about working within a new group of people, all of them who I had not met before. We where challenged with the problem of solving how 13 people would share two showers between them in a very cramp halls. It was going to be challenging as I had know idea what these people where like or how they liked to work.

This is my self evaluation of how I think i performed within the group.

What roles did you take on in the group?

• Thinking of ideas.
• Brainstorming.
• Developing other peoples ideas.
• Designing the shower head sticker.

How well do you think you performed these roles?

• I thought that I was very vocal within the group and I came up with some good ideas. I also think that I performed well at talking to people about their ideas and how we could develop them further. However I do think that I could have spent longer developing the design for my shower head as I felt it looked a bit rushed.

How well do you think you worked as a group?

• As a group we all came up with some good ideas, however I think that we became divided on occasions and there was a definite breakdown of communication.

What were the positives of working in a group?

• I think the positives about working in a group were that we all got to see how other people worked and how they communicated. It was good to bounce ideas of people who all had an eye for design.

What were the negatives about working within a group?

• I think the negative aspects of working within the group were there was sometimes a breakdown in communication and this made the pace of working very slow. It was also hard to criticise people who you had only known for a few days.

What will you do differently next time?

• Next time I will try to compromise with other people better. I will also be able to criticise them better because I will hopefully know a bit more about there personality and the way they work. When it comes to designing I will leave my self more time to do it and make it look more professional.

Where could you have improved your resolution?

• As we had problems agreeing with other people in the group this left us little time to actually design the product. Towards the end I started to run out of time. My prints where not the correct size and it looked rushed.

What are the strengths of your presentation?

• Emma will hopefully be wearing a bath robe to set the scene.
