Four Letter Word Design *#@?

Four letter word design are a design studio based in Farringdon, London. They are a small company that speacialise in brand identity. Every single piece of work that I have seen that has been produced by this studio is amazing. 

Their simple and minimal approach to design is something that I would love to see in my own work in the future. The design is very clean cut and to the point and gets the job done very effectively.

Gift Angel


is an online gift voucher system. Their dream was borne out of a desire to introduce originality, quality and convenience to gifting. We created the identity and all related marketing materials which included a website, brochure, stationery, gift bags and vouchers.


The design in this branding is very minimal but in my opinion it speaks a thousand words. The type and image of the angel work incredibly well together and create something that is visually stunning as well as effective.


The use of only a few colours is something that I want to develop in my work. The design that I have seen this company produce has definitely inspired me and has given me more focus of where I want to be when I finish my degree.

Yi - Ban Chinese Restaurant

This was the branding that was completed by four letter design for a chinese restaurant. In my opinion this shows the perfect blend between traditional and modern furturistic design. The logo comprises of a green circle with some lines that could be interpreted as a certain food. The colour green also strengthens this idea.

It could also be some fields and the horizon.

The type then brings a more modern and sophisticated approach to the design. This is one of my favourite logo designs I have seen and it looks even better above the restaurant door lit up at night with a simple white backlight.

Lighting is another thing that i really want to start using in my work next year to see how my logos would actually work in the real world, in the day and the night.

These are some logos that have been designed by the same company. All very unique, all very minimal and all amazing.
